Amazing Arts 2008
The Amazing Arts camps are sponsored by Camp Olave which is supported by West Coast Area and Lions Area. It grew out of a wonderful camp called CARNIVAL and a great adventure
called HARRY POTTER CAMP.
Then Camp Olave welcomed girls and Guiders from all over BC and beyond to Amazing Arts 2008
followed by Amazing Arts Again in 2012 and Amazing Arts Three in 2015.
In 2008 our shirts were blue, in 2012 green, in 2015 red and in 2018 ORANGE.

- I am a Guider who would like to come but I don't have a Patrol.
Most of our girls do not come with a Guider and we rely on core staff Guiders to be Patrol Guiders for them,
to assist with program, on site chores etc. You can still present a program session if you want to.
- What about Safe Guide and other forms?
After April 30 we will put up any remaining Safe Guide forms and ask parents to fill out and email or mail a variety of stuff such as required Safe Guide forms,
a tee shirt size form, and a transportion form.
- My camper doesn't have a swim test. Will this be a problem?
No, our Lifeguards will administer a short test the first swimming day. It only takes a few minutes. If she has a test in iMIS we will have it already on a report.
Amazing Arts Three - July 12 - 18, 2015 - What a wonderful time we had! Some of our activities were Puppets and Drama, Dancing, Music, drumming, singing,
Culinary arts, Dot Art, Sketching, Jewelry making, Crafts, Archery, Pottery, visiting artists, and of course the beach! Wonderful low tides and sunny weather too!
One of our highlights was the outpouring of wonderful poems written by our campers (who then won a little prize). One of our leaders
read a couple of them during our closing ceremony and for her comments and three of the poems click here

In 2008 we went to Gibsons and a visit to the museum. Our special guest brought enough drums for all of us and we were very good!
Our Pathfinders painted some of Camp Olave's paddles and we made an wonderful mural still on the porch at IODE! We always have a talent show, a Beach Party, an special outtrip, culinary arts and some kareoke.
In 2012 we made cake pops, played our own harmonicas and had a lovely garden party in honour of the Queen's Jubilee and her majesty was ready for tea!
